tulips and white out

Here are the tulips again - nearly two weeks old but still with some life to share.
I just loved the contrast with the white outside that I noticed as I was making breakfast this morning. Lots more snow fell last night but our school was open for local children.....the taxi/bus children had a day off!
Three good things
1. Only 3 children in today and an extra adult made all the difference in the world! Really good learning!
2. New (additional) furniture to change the classroom layout for little people I am now working with.
3. An early night after a very busy day....muscles I didn't remember I had!
Beautiful shot, Sarah. I love tulips.

Lovely contrast Sallie of those colourful tulips with the white scene through the window. I think you have had your fair share of snow although great photo ops !!! Lovely for the children to have such one to one!

They are holding their own rather well

I love this against the white outside. I guess it breaks all the rules of photography, but it works.

Beautiful lighting. It sounds like a quiet day at school. Those are nice once in awhile.

Very pretty! I couldn't believe all the snow we had yesterday and today. Someone forgot to turn the winter switch off!

Still no sign of spring here. It's cold and windy. Bought some flowers for a little bit of colour. Your tulips are beautiful.

That's a good ratio of children to adults! Is it a special needs school with all those taxi children?

@rhos Thank you Ann and nice to 'meet you' on here!
We share quite a lot - I'm a primary teacher too and have a 7 week old grandson out in Kiev ... going to visit in the Easter break. The tulips were 'brightening my life' for a couple of weeks as I'd had one thing after another, flu etc etc, and was off school for several weeks.

@judithg perfect ratio Judith! We have 3 groups of children with additional needs in school and try to support them and their mainstream classes, to include them in learning activities as much as possible. I've just taken on the 5-7 year olds and have a 10 year old too, so it is interesting and challenging!!! Three are in the town and three come from roundabout by taxi - the drifting snow really messed up travel this week.
