A stitch or two

Had a lovely day in Aberdeen with Allan and Jonathan. After having my haircut I met them and we had a wander, did some shopping, had a lovely lunch and then went to the Art Gallery to see this amazing project which is currently on display.
I took quite a lot of photos but here I've included the ones that meant a lot because they are connected with my own history.....e.g. 'herring girls' - my grandmother was working on herring boats as a young woman, 'the return of the Iolaire' a boat that sank in 1919 in sight of the Stornoway harbour lights with many bodies not recovered.174 Lewismen and 7 Harrismen were drowned having returned from the war.
You can see Allan and Jonathan standing by the poster in the foyer and just to the left is one of the visitors having a go at stitching a sampler.
Three good things
1. A lovely day and a leisurely pace
2. Happy with my hair
3. Lovely time at a favourite restaurant for lunch.
It's a beautiful way to portray its meaning. Nice job
