Learning out of doors - the submarine and the ocean

This was one of our creative pictures from yesterday when we worked outdoors in the sunshine using natural materials.
Working on the sunny side of the playground wasn't actually the best plan as the light was so strong it was difficult to see the details in the picture. So we all huddled together to create a big shadow and then my tall PSA took the photo. You can see her reaching up in the picture, and you can see my purple hat in the corner too!!
Three good things
1. We used the natural materials on our big classroom tray today.....need more of this as the children weren't quite sure how to make it work!
2. Calm day......the sniffles are catching up with everyone and several children were off school.
3. Home early and chilli con carne for tea.....still fighting my sore throat....but winning!
Purple hat - wonderful! Keep beating the bugs. A creative submarine!

A beautiful natural design Sallie! Love the effort that's gone into this & good that you got outside to do it. The fresh air would help get rid of any more bugs I hope!
