Apple blossom at Castle Fraser Walled Garden

What a lovely day! We headed for Castle Fraser where they hold a plant sale at this time of year. You choose plants from the selection of photos on display, write them on a piece of paper (+ name!) and come back in half an hour by which time the gardeners will have dug up what's on your list....and you have a nice wander round the garden or time in the castle coffee shop!!
Today the volunteer meeting the plant buyers was a little harassed as there were fewer on the team than last year so people had a bit longer to wait. But no one minded and it's a good way for them to reduce the plant stock without waste and adds a little to the garden funds.
The plants are mostly replanted in our garden now and others can wait until Monday holiday 😊.
Three good things
1. Sunshine and gentle breeze.
2. Three loads of washing out, dried and put away 😊
3. Gardening time....I need a hit squad to help as our rather large garden is needing a lot of attention. Any effective remedies for moss in grass will be welcome!!!!

PS Allan has just brought some lovely white wine from a favourite part of France (Vouvray) which came in a wine box a few months ago 😄

A nice way to buy your plants. Enjoy your wine ;-)

I hope you had a wee glass of the white stuff after your exertions! A lovey unusual way of buying plants, I like the personal touch to it. I think I will do a bit of gardening & tidying up tomorrow! I need to get troughs & planters done with geraniums before I go away, it will be too late when I get back.
