I love these flowers in my garden and quite a bonus that Mr B was enjoying this one when I went out with the camera. Centaurea Montana is their name apparently! I just think of them as the ones Elsie gave me a few years ago. We were playground mums together 30 years ago and she had a year on 365 when she retired. I had admired them on her photo project and the next thing I knew she had left a bag with some roots from her garden. I just think of them as Elsie's flowers!!
Three good things
1. A long sleep.....had a wakeful hour during the night but slept until my alarm went off at 7.15am.
2. A planning meeting at the end of the day - went well I think!
3. Lovely evening and lots of birdsong with the patio doors open.
@gijsje I think it's sometimes called perennial cornflower but when I think of cornflowers they are smaller and more compact and a more vibrant blue. I love them too. They were in my wedding bouquet and on top of our wedding cake. And bridesmaids dresses were cornflower blue!!😊 nice memories.
