new rockery by sarah19

new rockery

Well...... if you could see my red face after a lot of hours in the garden and then a hot shower. But so worth it!
Last year there was a large weeping beech tree here. Today I have weeded and barrowed lots of soil and planted new plants and transplanted some other plants and found stones to create a rockery of sorts! I like it!
You may be able to see the baby beech tree on the left of the picture .... we are thinking it may be better in the centre area but will need to investigate what time/season is best to move it.
Whatever.... I have moved lots of plants from a 'nursery' bed and I did laugh when Connor said this must be 'reception' then!!! That's the progression at the school he goes to in Cairo!!!

Three good things
1. Good working day......cooler than some days recently so I got lots done.
2. The boys had a lovely afternoon at the beach and left me in a quiet garden.
3. Another dinner outdoors.......this is so good!

Oh, my, goodness - that was a lot of hard work. Looks like it will pay off though. Lovely rockery you've created.
