Elgin break by sarah19

Elgin break

After a wonderful birthday weekend we had a walk along the seafront with glorious views across the Moray Firth to some rather special places!
Then headed for home and stopped off in Elgin - not far from this impressive ruin of the Cathedral is an equally impressive coffee shop and wonderful woollens adventure!!
We both found some lovely things.........what a fabulous way to finish the weekend!
Good to get home as always, still a significant ice cover on our drive.
Three good things
1. A rather special birthday weekend!
2. Good to have a walk after breakfast
3. Final treat......a new raspberry and ginger gin with Prosecco.....as recommended by the manager at The Whisky Shop in Inverurie.

So much is left standing! One can visualise when it was being used!

Thank you all for your lovely comments. It's a beautiful structure even though a ruin, but is still used for weddings at times! Not much shelter if the weather is wet though.
