We were rather interested to see the contrast between the old and new buildings from the castle in Inverness at the weekend. Love the older stonework but not so sure about the new.
Three good things
1. Crisp sunshine after glorious red morning skies.
2. 14000 steps....not sure how I managed that.
3. A cup of tea with a friend of a friend. Her husband passed away on Christmas Eve.
I think they look fine together. I’m sure a stone house today is cost prohibitive. Here we have perfectly fine homes being torn down so new huge homes can be built. They look awful because they fill the space with the house, there’s no land around the house, it’s jammed against the house/property next to it. Just crazy.
