We have three alcoves in the lounge, uplit from below the shelf level and they create a lovely effect with shadows and interest in the evening light. Today we had outdoor time and food shop time in the morning and were just finished when the rain started.........and it certainly rained!!
So we worked on our lounge, moving all the furniture and ornaments and books and music... and what a brilliant feeling it was to sit there for a while at the end of the day. We don't have a TV in the lounge, it is just for music and chat and reading etc .....and ironing sometimes!!! ....and catching up with family and friends.
Three good things
1. The long queue at Tesco certainly moved at a pace and I didn't have to wait too long to get in to do the shopping.
2. Allan planted potatoes at the garden down the road - he is using a plot owned by a lady whose husband passed away last year and she just wants the ground used.
3. Rain, rain, rain.....the garden is so desperately needing it!!
