Time for bed and the little group just caught my eye. Sometimes if there's lots of gardening on the go I only wear my wedding ring and stud earrings but after the gales and rain last night I found other things to do today.
Even though the word suggests we will have a little more freedom 'to be' differently it's not easy to see a way forward, particularly with 3 of our 4 young ones abroad. And 2 weeks quarantine after arriving in UK rules out any trips home for a while even if flights were possible!! Grateful for technology for chats and laughter.
Three good things
1. Chat with Laura in Melbourne early!
2. Pilates on zoom....good to keep going.
3. Barra Berries, our local soft fruit growers, is open.. ..luxury after work treat of icecream...... and strawberries for dessert
A lovely scene. Yes it’s going to take a while for everything to get back to normal, at least the new normal. Flights are so cheap here but there’s no reason to fly anyplace because you don’t know what is open and what isn’t. Just have to keep on waiting!
Lovely selection of your treasures, I find even though I am not wearing my ‘going out’ clothes much it’s still nice to put on my pearl necklace & earrings. Yes it’s the quarantine that’s the killer for going going that far...who can take another two weeks off work to do that? Hopefully that will pass in time!
Yes, I was a bit disappointed with our new set of instructions, in force (perhaps) from the 28th ... Despite remaining positive, it's hard sometimes not to get down about all of this. I'm very fortunate to have our son here with us and to be able to go to Braemar weekly to check on dad ... but goodness knows when we'll see our daughter in Norway. I can imagine how difficult it is for you with 3/4 of your family abroad! We just have to keep on keeping on and hope that things will improve. I love your selection of treasures.
