Laura and Evie having fun, several months ago.
I found this on my laptop today and it made me smile. Evie is now exploring food....
amazing what she likes, but not impressed with broccoli the first time she tried it. She had never seen anyone feel negative about it....maybe she'll have another go later.
It's been a very quiet day. I was feeling pretty miserable and full of the cold when we got home yesterday, but hot water bottle filled and several layers of bedclothes, including cosy hat!!! seemed to help.
Lots and lots of hot drinks and sleeping on and off all morning...........and I felt like a different person.
Now ok for school in the morning I think, though we still have to see what Storm Corrie will throw at us overnight. Lots of places round here still have no power and lots of schools not opening tomorrow as a result. And more trees down.....great big old ones which perhaps were blasted before Christmas and are weaker as a result.
Three good things
1. Allan's sisters suggested I take the flowers from Grannie's funeral home, so we collected them yesterday and I've put quite a lot in vases here. Seems odd but I suppose leaving them in a cemetery where no one is likely to notice them is rather a waste.
2. Not feeling much like food but we had a breakfast kind of supper which was delicious.
3. Bubble bath by candlelight was lovely.
This is just the sweetest picture. It’s understandable that you are drained, both mentally and physically. Your body needs the rest I’m sure. Maybe you will get a weather day tomorrow and can rest a bit more. I see your country names your winter storms too. Seems so odd to me, we now name every storm regardless of the season.
Sounds like you got properly chilled….love the idea of the hat too!
Such a sweet photo of Laura & Evie…I don’t think you have actually met her yet if I remember rightly…you must be so desperate to hold her….you must miss Connor & Finn so much too. Talks on what’s app don’t quite cut the mustard somehow! !

Hope you are feeling much better, Sarah.
