In Edinburgh for the day

Allan and I enjoyed a trip to Edinburgh by train. Met Susannah and had a lovely morning, part of it spent at the recently reopened National Portrait Gallery. It is looking wonderful! It was always one of my favourites but yesterday I felt I needed to have lots of regular visits to really appreciate all the work done and exhibits!
I did love the painting of Professer Higgs and wish I had carried on my studies in Physics! But teaching and family took over and now I just admire those who can!
