These are my camellia treasures!
We have a substantial bush growing between our lounge and dining room windows, planted by the previous owners. Sadly last winter almost finished it, but not completely and this year the number of buds has doubled ....from 2 last year to 4 this year!
In earlier years there were countless blooms - indeed lots of people who drive past our house commented year after year on it's amazing display.
Some even called our place 'the camellia house' before I met them!
No credit to me! All I did was pour old tea/tea bags on it and cover it with fleece from Jan - April!
This year I am going to give it some well deserved TLC as it has bravely fought back from the frosting and the severe pruning I gave it. The leaves are quite healthy looking now and lots of new growth appearing as the weeks go by.
So glad it didn't die!
Always wowed by these lovely camellias just out when all is cold & sometimes frosty !! This looks a stunning colour & so glad it survived your bad winter s. !
