The glorious copper beech

So fantastic to see the leaves bursting out on the glorious copper beech tree in the garden where I played when I was little. And fantastic that Dad Is feeling able to do the planting and enjoying it after the difficult weeks earlier this year.
Three good things
1, sunshine earlier in the day
2. Cosy fire for when the wind and rain arrived
3. Relaxing time together. ...and now they have a lovely home help every Monday so everything is very gentle at weekends!
Very nice

thank you for your lovely comments. My mum watched the tree being planted as a little schoolgirl in 1937 to celebrate the coronation of King George 6th (Father of the Queen)
Little did she think she would live in the house for .....58 years and counting! !! And Dad has done the garden almost every year....had a gap year after heart surgery some time ago, but friends and family did the needful. 😊
