sea shells and sentimental

Well .....I've had a really busy 24 hours!
Little people needing space for their visit so I've cleared 'the girls' room' and that was pretty major! Lots of clothes they will never wear ready for charity shop/ clothes bank and other stuff ready for the recycling centre. Why do we have so much stuff???????????
And in the clearing I found this item behind the doll's house! It's been there for quite a while but had been on a wall in our various homes for.....ever! Now I don't know what to do with it.
It was one of my exhibition pieces when I did 2-Dimensional Design as part of my degree......and is the only one I have kept .....some were very large and others very heavy and not 'house display' items. And while part of me says 'get rid of it!' ( and Allan did suggest that since it was so dusty and hadn't seen the light of day for ages!) the other part of me looks at it and still loves it! It was created from the obvious seashells and rope that was salvaged from the shore, washed and dyed in the pink colours of the shells and then the weaving process on the circular metal frame......not sure what the source of that was!!!
I'm such a seaside lover and when I put it on the wall again I just felt that it wasn't time to part with it yet..........when I am an old woman I think I would still like it on a wall!!!!
Wonder what you think?
Three good things
1. Treasure
2. Clean and cleared spaces
3. Helpful husband!!! I have to include that as his help made all the difference tonight and his car boot is full of the stuff that's going places.
Lovely shot and it is very pretty.

Nothing wrong with being sentimental; just put it on the wall again, it's very creative, Sarah.

I'd keep it! I find I usually 'know' when it's time to let go of something ...

@gijsje @digitalrn @jmj thank you so much for lovely comments. I also got a few encouraging comments from my Facebook friends including daughter Laura in Australia who has this lovely phrase about things that 'spark joy' being kept. ....and this is one of them!
