The wetlands flood quite high at spring tides, which is great because then the flamingoes come in close-ish to graze

Flamingos are so much fun. Do you ever see the plastic variety in S.A.? They're a thing here.

@bf2016 No, I haven't seen the plastic flamingos here. But the local people do make wire ones or metal ones that they sell on the sides of the roads sometimes.
