... is this weeks theme for my FB 52 week challenge due for submission tonight. We've been in Cape Town all day visiting old friends, so when we got home this evening I quickly set up these sweets in the dying rays of the sun shining in through my back window. Only had a few minutes before the sun was gone completely but I managed to get in a couple of quick shots. Submitted a close up with mainly orange for my challenge shot.
@narayani@peggyhuffman Thank you! I need to get my mojo back and start thinking about photos again! I thought this might help get me on track but I just can't seem to pick up the pieces yet.
@seacreature my goodness, Desi, you've been through so much. it's probably going to take a good bit of time to process it all. i'm so glad you have photography to get lost in. xoxo
@seacreature give yourself time Desi. It was actually after my mother's death that I started Shuttercal. It gave me a creative focus and helped me "see" again. I was so grateful for it.
Yummy detail, love it! I agree with the others, it might take awhile before you feel like your old self again. Don't put too much pressure on yourself… The fact you have returned to your calendar so soon is very commendable. After my mother died I walked around on auto-pilot for about two years (and I wouldn't really recommend that ). I think photography would have been very helpful.
