Karen and I went to a photo-workshop at the Swartberg Camera Club in Malmesbury today. Although they told us to bring tripod, camera, remote shutter release etc. all the talks we attended were simply that - talks and demonstrations. So I have nothing to show from the workshop. However, despite the howling gale that was buffeting my car around on the 100km trip home this afternoon, I decided to try and shoot the canola fields we saw with the odd ray of sunshine managing to shine through the storm clouds building up. I didn't even work the shot much when I started feeling like I was going to be blown down that slope.
@narayani Thanks Narayani. Yes I did get something out of it. Always something to learn from everyone, especially if you ask questions. And I ask lots. So I'm not sorry I attended especially as it was inexpensive. Just felt it was a nuisance "schlepping" tripod and camera and a couple of lenses around as per their list when we didn't use any of it.
@lynnz Thank you for the Fave and comment Lynn. Although I stopped for the colours of the canola and green fields, the aloe in the foreground just made the scene for me by giving some foreground interest and depth.
