Oh Dear - Not another one!

'fraid so ... was lazy and didn't put Harriet away last night, (although I did put my hat back on the peg!), so I have been observing the shadows on her face as the sun has moved around through the day while she sat on my dining room table. So now I think I still have Rembrandt Lighting with the triangle of light under her eye - but this time from natural light coming in the window. How much nicer natural light is than flash - I just have to learn to read it, understand it, and work with it!
I'm pleased you've given Harriet another chance. The natural light and no hat give her true allure.

I think the observation is most valuable. See what it does to her character.

Natural light is so much nicer

@s4sayer Thank you. Harriet has promised to wait patiently for me to attempt to learn to create more alluring and gentle light with my flash as well ... important for those occasions when there just isn't enough natural light available.

@anniesue Oh yes, observation is as good a learning tool as constant clicking of the shutter button - and indeed it has shown that she can be a much more charming character than the persona first portrayed :)

@narayani I tend to agree with you there. LOL. It is also what I am more used to, so it is easier for me
