This little piggy went to market

I booked a table at the local monthly market to sell Don's power tools that I've been sorting, cleaning up, and pricing for the past month. Everything was priced at half or less than new prices so some folk got some bargains but I have cleared out a lot of tools I will never use myself. Fortunately I sold almost everything I took to market, so I don't have a lot to take back next month when I have sorted smaller stuff like screwdrivers, pliers etc into what I need to be self sufficient where possible and what is clearly excess. Bitter sweet exercise. Sad to let go of a link to the person Don was, but also necessary to move forward
hope he found something that he probably didn't need and bought it anyway

That's the spirit Desi, for every door that closes a new one opens.

@ludwigsdiana Thanks Diana

You did well to sell almost everything! You will have given those buyers a lot of pleasure and I’m sure Don would be pleased they have gone to homes where they will be used and appreciated.

It would be a shame to leave tools sitting unused. You did the right thing. I’m sure it was a big undertaking, I hope you had help.

@narayani Yes, obviously nothing was priced too high that it all went so quickly ... we decided best to price low rather than have to bring loads of stuff back home again

@beckyk365 I did have help, thank you. Don's brother has been coming along quite frequently to give me a hand moving heavy stuff and also giving what he thought was realistic prices - the prices that he felt he would pay without hesitation if he was looking for that item. Everything was probably worth a lot more than I sold it for - but at least I am not sitting with stuff to pack and unpack again just to earn a little extra.

very sensible move - so much better to get things to people who will use them, while keeping a few day-to-day tools for yourself - and thinking about realistic pricing
