This was one of the two girls before I had them put on the hideous wedding dress. No matter how hard I tried to direct them, the poses were stiff and awkward. (Clearly I have a lot to learn about directing my subjects!). But the minute she was in "the dress" she could let go of her inhibitions and act like a model.
I think it's about role play and pretend and fairytales. I think she looks fine here - perhaps less directing (even though you need them to give you what you're wanting to capture) and more imagination/involvement from them, finding how they can help you get what you want. Dialogue in a new and unfamiliar - and perhaps uncomfortable situation?
Early days - I hope they're coming back.
And if you offered to take photos for the shops Facebook page to help them advertise their stock, you needn't even buy things.
As I say often - I am always impressed by your attempts to improve your skills.
