Beef cattle by shepherdman

Beef cattle

Placid cattle on a placid day - very still, very overcast, very quiet. The cattle were clearly savouring a peaceful beginning to the day just as much as I was. These are beef cattle, destined for market, but at least enjoy a free range life in the meantime. This field commonly floods in winter and so the beef farmer probably overwinters his cattle in a barn, with deep straw bedding. These particular beasts will no doubt have the company of roast potatoes and Yorkshire Pudding before the first of the winter floods.
LOL Yes, potatoes are good company for cows. (N)
