Turkey Cafe by shepherdman

Turkey Cafe

As in most UK city centres, to appreciate the architecture, you must look up, above the street level corporate monoculture of the modern High Street. The centre of Leicester is predominantly Victorian, although the Turkey Cafe is Edwardian, built in 1901, apparently on the site of a 17th century cock fighting pit. The venue is still a drinking establishment, although I suspect that coffee is no longer the principle beverge of choice.
