Seasonal tidings

The Church of St James the Greater, Leicester. I think this is one of the nicest church interiors in the city. I was there for a concert in aid of Rainbows, our local children’s hospice – family and friends were singing in the choir. It was a mixture of carols, readings and songs both old and modern, all with a Christmas theme. It was a wonderful event. It definitely has been a seasonal day. One of my colleagues brought mince pies to work, as it was his birthday – more seasonal than cream cakes! And I went ice skating for the first time this season. Unfortunately I was on my bike at the time. The cycle route was a sheet of ice, and my bike did a sharp pirouette to the left, leaving me briefly suspended in mid-air, before landing on the ice. Ouch.
this reminds me of my old chruch
