We occasionally walk in Blaby Park, originally the grounds of Blaby Hall and now a public park. The park itself is a sort of “managed countryside”, with paths and shrubberies. We always head to the back of the park, where a gate leads onto the “long walk”, a track that winds its way through an avenue of pine trees, and eventually meets up with a network of footpaths around nearby fields. It was a bracing walk this evening – a clear sky, and a frost just beginning to form.
