No photos today, so I have included another from yesterday. The warm sunshine on the roofs of this small Oxfordshire village produced a thermal that launched the glider from about 800 feet to 2500 feet. I was flying the aircraft at the time, trying to keep it banked to the left, into the thermal, without dipping or raising the nose. I didn’t do very well, and banked a bit too steeply. The pilot, seated behind me, took back control “to stabilise the aircraft”. In other words to keep it in the air!
