Lonesome Oak by shepherdman

Lonesome Oak

This tree on Croft Hill has made a couple of appearances on 365 over the months. It’s an oak tree, one of the last trees to come into leaf, and a sign that summer can’t be far away. Not that anyone would believe it from the current weather – cold, and frequently wet. I presume that around here ash trees are already green, which may account for the weather. “Ash before oak, we’re in for a soak...”
Atmospheric and beautiful. Really nice shot.
