I’m not sure what type of grass this is – I think that it is a sort of wild barley. This was on one of our walks above the quarry – even the high paths are now wet and muddy, and the vegetation holds onto the water until I arrive, when it is dposited liberally onto my trousers, and so I get home soaked up to my knees. Hosing of dogs is now compulsory on our return from every dog walk.
