During a day boating on the Broads we expected to see motor boats, we expected to see sailing boats, and maybe the occasional rowing boat or canoe. This “Mississippi” paddle steamer was a surprise (although I’m not sure whether technically it was either paddling or steaming). In fact the weather was more typical of the Southern United States than Eastern England – 33C and humid. Too hot for me, even when “messing about on the river”.
I thought of Death on the Nile! Great find and capture. A better view from the top deck than from any of the other vessels you mention. We hired a boat on the Broads about 30 years ago and all I saw were reeds and the occasional church spire!
