The weather has dried up, but the standing wheat must still have too much moisture. The combine harvester is still standing idle in the field. There is not a lot of wheat left to combine, which is probably why the farmer/contractor has decided to let the sunshine dry it out, rather than incur the cost of harvesting and then using a grain drier.
Big monster! Good shot! You probably know they have sort of sat nav sensors in the cab which tells them which areas of the field are driest, so to cut first. Presumably what they left was just too damp. Amazing these gadgets!!
