This well-tended “suburban” front garden is located close to my mother-in-law’s home. I am convinced that a small garden needs much more work to keep it in trim than a large one. In our larger garden weeds and untidy areas are sort of camouflaged by the larger shrubs and perennials, whereas the owner of this garden cannot get away with such lazy subterfuge.
