Lake George

A plan to walk up Blue Mountain in the Adirondacks was abandoned thanks to grey low clouds and drizzle. Instead we visited Lake George, in the "foothills" of the mountains. Calm and still conditions resulted in excellent reflections, especially in the surrounding smaller lakes, but the gloomy mist resulted in very flat light and low contrast. And no access to photo-editing software to convince you all how bright and sunny it is... Off to South Dakota tomorrow, where, apparently, snow is forecast.

This is a beautiful shot, with super reflections too. I like the sombre colours, I'm glad you didn't process it.

FAV!!! I don't know why, but this is just amazing how the one in the middle is changing and the outer trees look to be the same as they normally are. :)
