Well, some of the ski runs that I have tried certainly felt this steep at the time. Frost on a windscreen. I really do prefer cycling to work when it’s cold and frosty - none of that windscreen scraping stuff. Having carefully removed the ice and gained perfect vision of the road ahead on days when I need to take the car to work , I sit in the car, breath (as you do) and the view promptly disappears into thick fog as the screen mists up on the inside. Setting off on a bike is much quicker - the only problem is freezing extremities – the first half mile is a rapid descent into an eye-wateringly cold frost pocket , after which my hands and feet never really recover until I get to work.
