Flooding back by shepherdman

Flooding back

That is a grassy field behind our youngest dog, Tia. After the snow came the return of rain and floods, and after several days of Dancing On Ice every time they saw a puddle, the dogs made a beeline for the water. Once again the house has a tendency to smell of wet dog. Last night’s walk was up Croft Hill, to avoid the wet and mud, since after a week of sledging, with cars parked in all directions along both sides along the Lane, we have the Hill to ourselves again. Sadly the sledgers have left their mark, and the Hill is littered with broken sledges, drinks bottles, cans , gloves, hats, scarves and, believe it or not, a fridge door, ironing board, and even the bonnet from a car. I am always amazed by what folk attempt to use to slide down the Hill, and disappointed with what many of them leave behind. I returned home with two dogs in my left hand and four broken sledges in my right. I hope other walkers will appreciate how lucky we are to live in this area most of the time, and will help with the clean-up.
That's a same about the trash people leave behind. You wonder about folks sometimes. On brighter note, Tia looks happy.
