A frosty and misty morning that turned into a warm sunny spring day. Thanks to drier and slightly warmer weather (apart from an occasional frost that at least heralds a nice day) I am now cycling to work again on a more regular basis. This is the Grand Union canal where it passes under the Great Central Way, a cycling and walking route into Leicester, as it passes close to Aylestone. Aylestone is technically a city suburb, about 4 miles from the city centre, but it has managed to retain the character of the original village.
