There is definitely a pre-dawn light as I get out of bed, which means that I watch the daybreak as I eat my breakfast, watching the sky lighten behind the trees in neighbouring gardens. At the first hint of a proper sunrise it’s time to finish my cup of tea, put the paper down, and face the day.
