Not a particularly pretty picture – a scene more suited to autumn than May. After the floods, followed by prolonged dry cold, the farmer of this field has given up, and ploughed in what scrubby rape was growing. In another field on one of our dog routes, another farmer has done the same, and sown maize instead.
