Cuckoo flowers

Cuckoo flower or Lady’s smock, one of my favourite wild flowers, because its flowers herald the burst of wild flowers that occurs in late spring to early summer. It is very common around here, growing on minimally cultivated or grazed grassland, which will shortly support a carpet of meadow flowers.
