The grass along all of our walks has grown rapidly over the last few days, over waist height in some places. Some of our dog walks, the ones not very popular and well-trodden, are almost impassable. A couple of nights ago I made the mistake of attempting one of these routes after a sharp shower, pushing through the high wet grasses, and ended up with saturated trousers from ankle to waist.
