A clear and humid morning after a stormy night. Apparently we had thunder and lightning from 3.00am onwards, but I slept through all the noise and drama until a mighty thunder clap at 5.30am woke me a start. The alarm went off shortly afterwards and I went downstairs to find that the dogs were exceedingly pleased to see me. Even German Shepherd Lesia, normally very laid back about everything, had not been too sure what all the noise was about. This path leads up onto Croft Hill – the torrential rain had left shallow gulleys along the paths at the bottom of the Hill, as rain fell faster that the hard dry ground could absorb it.
