It has been many months since sheep inhabited “The Cows Field”, a riverside pasture a couple of fields from our home, which is sandwiched between arable crops. Sheep moved in for the first time last winter, but in spring were replaced by the regular summer visitor of young bullocks. The sheep have left their mark, though – there is plenty of wool on the thistles and field fencing, although maybe not enough for Shepherman’s Wife to knit me a fashionable Christmas pullover.
This is a fab shot.
