Another image from our “rainbow walk”. The rain stopped after a few minutes, but the double rainbow remained sharp and vivid for several minutes, before gradually fading, allowing me to take a few more photos. Raindrops on the lens had been unavoidable. All I had with me for lens drying purposes was a pack of tissues, and I used one to wipe the lens dry. This was a learning process. Never use tissues impregnated with balsam to dry a lens. Good for sore noses, bad for wet lenses – I now had a lens that was dry but smeared. We gave up further photography, and came home.
Love this one. Wonderful photo, lovely tones.
I could have told you about balsam tissues. I used them on my glasses and couldn't see anything clearly after that! Think yourself lucky it was only your camera lens!
