We spotted this Peacock butterfly sunning itself on the warm brickwork of the old barn next to the field track behind our home. It was a breezy day, and the butterfly had found a true sun trap, out of the wind, to warm its wings. Naturally we were both @shepherdmanswife and I) were competing to get close – I was at a disadvantage, since I was holding Lesia on a lead, and I wasn’t going to drag her into knee high nettles. Eventually we were interrupted as a runner passed by, Lesia barked, we both looked up to see the reason for the barking, and the butterfly flew off into the breeze
