Shannon Falls, falling 335 metres down a rocky cascade into Howe Sound. We were packing in as many local activities in and around Squamish as we could, on this last full day of our Canadian trip. It was almost as if we were clock watching – the end was nigh, and we wanted to fill every last minute with yet more memories. Our friend from Squamish joined us on this jaunt, not far from her home, and it was a pleasant, if short, stroll to the bottom of the falls, just generally gossiping and exchanging news. You don’t always need dramatic mountains views and high trails to appreciate the pleasures of being on a vacation.
Vacation isn't a place it's a state of mind. Some people never really achieve it. Sounds like you did and brought a bit of the tranquility of this back with you.
Thank you for your kind remarks on the Beccles Camera Club's pictures. I love this waterfall picture. We don't get many high waterfalls in East Anglia, it is rather flat! It does however have a lot of other attractions.
@joansmor@shepherdman I like your sentiments here and Joan's observation is perfect. This simple shot underlines the beauty to be found in the 'ordinary' things of he day.
