The blush-pink pre-dawn of yesterday’s image evolved into a fiery dramatic sunrise, keeping me busy with my camera. I thought of my neighbour that we’d met earlier, who had left his camera at home, but nevertheless stopped to spend time to watch the sunrise. Maybe he was right. Maybe sometimes we spend too much time capturing the movement instead of appreciating it. Maybe we should just put our camera back in its case from time to time, and just stand and savour what is happening around us, experiencing life, not just recording it. Of course we try to do both, especially as far as family occasions and travelling are concerned, but perhaps sometimes we pick up the camera just a bit too quickly.
Sort of the nature of photographers to want to capture the moment so we can share with others. It's sort of like expecting Tia not to play in the mud. Beautiful shot.
Instant Fav. What a fantastic way to begin the day! Your neighbour's words are very true. Sometimes we are so much attached to the camera that we miss the beauty.
