We walked back home after taking yesterday’s sunset photo from the “New Hill”, the vivid colours hidden as we walked along the side of the hill, which lay between us and the western sky. We emerged back into the relative brightness of the late evening brightness and were greeted by the sunset’s final flourish, the sun having grown as it reached its final descent at the edge of the countryside lying beyond the quarry. We stopped to watch (well, I did – Tia was investigating the scents of the local wildlife, which was much more interesting), waiting until the final sliver of crimson disappeared before walking back along the track around the quarry edge onto Croft Hill, and over the stile leading onto our Lane
What a lovely time of early evening to walk - and love what you got to see. Beautiful colors in the sunset and really like the way you waited to catch in just slipping down.
