Close to the cottage where we are staying in Wales is Caerau Gardens, several acres of formal and informal gardens 1000 feet up in the mid Welsh hills, with gorgeous views in all directions. There is a café that specialises in curries, and, of you explore the woodland tracks behind the more formal gardens, you come across a wooden castle, adventure playground and zip wire. Since no-one else was around, we couldn’t resist the zip wire. Not that we were particularly discrete – it got very noisy when @shepherdmanswife descended the zip wire faster than she intended, and thought that she would collide with the tree at the bottom.
Looks like a beautiful garden as well as a lovely view. Would love to try a zip wire but never had the nerve. I think I would be a bit like your wife :).
