We have had not had the quantity of rain, nor the floods, experienced in Northern UK – indeed the rain that we have had has been persistent, rather than torrential. The fileds are soggy, the tracks muddy, but the river in the shallow valley behind our home, although swollen, has obediently remained between its banks. The lower fields, those by the river, have large pools of water, like this one, but the field edge paths are not affected, and so far all of our dog walking routes are passable, but muddy.
I like this scene a lot together with those you've posted over the previous five days too - very atmospheric shots, all of them. Fav. Hope you stay dry.
