Wood anemone

These delicate looking but quite robust spring flowers decorate the path down to the village at this time of the year. The path doesn't actually wind its way through woodland, as the name of the flower suggests, but it is tree lined, and these flowers generally grow at the base of the mature trees.

Such pretty flowers - I like the little bowing flowers in this photo - they look quite coy!
