First colour

After teasing us for a while, local trees are at last beginning to show their true autumn colours - these on Fosse Meadows, a local country park, a couple of mornings ago. It looks as though its going to be a good year for autumn colour, leaf-stripping autumn gales permitting, probably because we've had a dryish summer. Or maybe its the dry autumn. Or mild autumn. Or cold summer. I can never remember what conditions produce vivid colours in autumn - its probably simply down to tree variety and not too much wind.
gorgeous colour :)

I think the wind has a lot to do with it - those autumn gales as you say! This is like a familiar painting with the man and his dog! fav
